About This Role
A specialist R&D tax consultancy is seeking a Senior Consultant to manage a portfolio of innovative SME and mid-market clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end R&D tax relief claims from initial assessment to submission
- Conduct technical interviews with clients to identify qualifying R&D activities
- Prepare robust technical narratives and financial calculations for HMRC
- Defend claims against HMRC compliance checks and enquiries
- Build and maintain client relationships across assigned portfolio
Requirements
- ✓2+ years experience in R&D tax advisory
- ✓Strong understanding of the merged R&D scheme and HMRC guidelines
- ✓Ability to understand and articulate technical and scientific processes
- ✓Experience preparing R&D claims for HMRC submission
