About This Role
Join a fast growing mid tier accounting practice as a Senior Manager leading our Private Client Tax team. You'll combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver high quality compliance and advisory work to individuals and families across the Midlands. This is a hybrid role based in West Midlands (although there is some flexibility on which office), offering the opportunity to shape the future of a key service line while developing a talented team of five professionals. You'll work closely with Partners, build trusted client relationships, and drive the continued growth of this specialist department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Personal and Trust Tax compliance service and review and sign off Personal and Trust Tax Returns
- Deliver advisory work covering Trusts, Inheritance Tax, CGT, offshore trusts and international tax matters
- Oversee 60-day CGT Returns, Trust Registration Service, Trust IHT Returns and CRS reporting
- Lead, coach and develop the Private Client and Trust Services team including recruitment, appraisals and training
- Manage workflow, WIP, billing, recoveries and utilisation to meet key performance indicators
- Liaise with HMRC, clients and professional advisers to manage complex client relationships and risk
- Support the growth of the department through networking, client development and technical marketing initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement and quality standards across the team
Requirements
- ✓CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent experience
- ✓Strong technical knowledge of Personal Tax, Trusts, IHT and CGT
- ✓Previous team leadership experience
- ✓Commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills
- ✓Significant Private Client Tax experience
- ✓Strong IHT knowledge preferred
